Whole life insurance

Whole life insurance also works as an investment account in some ways, allowing you to borrow against it if you get into a financial bind during life. This is called a living benefit, and it basically means that the policy collects cash via an interest rate, much like a savings account. You can also choose other ways to invest the money in your whole policy. You can even use the policy as collateral for a loan if you desire.

Term life insurance provides you with temporary coverage that lasts for a set amount of years, which is determined at the time you buy the contract. A term policy only pays out in the event of your death, so there is no living benefit with this kind of insurance. However, a term policy is cheaper than a whole, so this may actually be an attractive way for you to get life insurance.

 What is PPO.

The Preferred Provider Organization is actually similar to HMO in when it comes to the physicians and other healthcare providers working together as a team and having discounted rates. The most distinct feature of PPO that differs itself from HMO is that it does not depend on a specific list of doctors. Meaning it has a wider coverage of physicians. Although this means extra payment for the patients many have opted to apply for this plan because of this feature.

Insurance Introduction

Insurance Introduction
Life is full of risks and accidents. People are at risk for getting injured when playing sports, riding in a car, or living in a house. Risk is uncertainty about a situation’s outcome. Risk can be unpredictable events which lead to loss or damage. Insurance is an arrangement between an individual (consumer) and an insurer (insurance company) to protect the individual against risk. Insurance plays a large role in most individual’s financial management plans.

Premium—the fee paid to the insurer to be covered under the specified terms.

Deductible—the amount paid out of pocket by the policy holder for the initial portion of a loss before the
insurance coverage begins.

Policyholder—the consumer who purchased the policy

Liability insurance—covers the insured if injuries or damages are caused to other people or their property; it is the minimum amount of insurance required by law for automobiles.

Physical damage insurance—covers damages caused to the vehicle; two optional forms of coverage are available
Uninsured or underinsured motorists insurance—covers injury or damage to the driver, passengers, or the vehicle caused by a driver with insufficient insurance.

Medical payment insurance—covers injuries sustained by the driver of the insured vehicle or any passenger regardless of fault; also covers insured family members injured as passengers in any car or if they are injured while on foot as a pedestrian or while riding a bicycle.

Nexium

Nexium is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and injury of the esophagus (food pipe between the mouth and stomach) in adults and children 1 year of age and older. Esomeprazole is used to treat the symptoms of GERD, allow the esophagus to heal, and prevent further damage to the esophagus. Esomeprazole is also used to decrease the chance of getting an ulcer in people who are taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is also used with other medications to treat and prevent the return of stomach ulcers caused by a certain type of bacteria (H. pylori). Esomeprazole is also used for long-term treatment of conditions (such as Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome) in which the stomach makes too much acid. Esomeprazole is in a class of medications called proton pump inhibitors. It works by decreasing the amount of acid made in the stomach.
How should this medicine be used

Esomeprazole comes as a delayed-release (long-acting) capsule to take by mouth or to open, mix with water, and give through a feeding tube and as granules to mix with water and take by mouth or give through a feeding tube. Esomeprazole is usually taken once a day at least 1 hour before a meal. When esomeprazole is used to treat some conditions in which the stomach makes too much acid, it is taken twice a day. Take esomeprazole at around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take esomeprazole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Swallow the capsules whole; do not split, chew, or crush them. If you cannot swallow the capsule, put 1 tablespoon of cool, soft applesauce in an empty bowl. Open one esomeprazole capsule and carefully sprinkle the pellets onto the applesauce. Mix the pellets with the applesauce, and swallow the entire tablespoonful of the applesauce and pellet mixture immediately. Do not chew the pellets in the applesauce. Do not save the pellets and applesauce for later use.
To mix the granules, follow these steps:

   1. Place 1 tablespoon, 15 mL of water into a cup.
   2. Open the esomeprazole packet and empty the granules into the cup containing the water.
   3. Stir the granules into the water and leave the mixture alone for 2 to 3 minutes so that it will thicken.
   4. Stir the mixture again, and drink all the mixture within 30 minutes.
   5. If any material remains in the cup after drinking, add some more water and stir. Drink all of the mixture immediately.
Before taking nexium
Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to esomeprazole, lansoprazole (Prevacid), omeprazole (Prilosec, Zegerid), pantoprazole (Protonix), rabeprazole (AcipHex), or any other medications.
    * tell your doctor and pharmacist what other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take. Be sure to mention atazanavir (Reyataz); anticoagulants ('blood thinners') such as warfarin (Coumadin); antifungals such as ketoconazole (Nizoral) and voriconazole (Vfend); clopidogrel (Plavix); digoxin (Digitek, Lanoxicaps, Lanoxin); and iron supplements. Your doctor may need to change the doses of your medications or monitor you carefully for side effects.
    * tell your doctor if you have or have ever had liver disease.
    * tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking esomeprazole, call your doctor.
    * you may take antacids with esomeprazole. If you feel you need an antacid, ask your doctor to recommend one and to tell you when and how to take it.

Microsoft Business Division

Microsoft Business Division
The Microsoft Business Division produces Microsoft Office including Microsoft Office 2010, the company's line of office software. The software product includes Word (a word processor), Access (a relational database program), Excel (a spreadsheet program), Outlook (Groupware, frequently used with Exchange Server), PowerPoint (presentation software), and Publisher (desktop publishing software). A number of other products were added later with the release of Office 2003 including Visio, Project, MapPoint, InfoPath and OneNote. The division also develops enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for companies under the Microsoft Dynamics brand. These include: Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Microsoft Dynamics SL. They are targeted at varying company types and countries, and limited to organizations with under 7,500 employees.[49] Also included under the Dynamics brand is the customer relationship management software Microsoft Dynamics CRM, part of the Azure Services Platform.

The Entertainment and Devices Division produces the Windows CE OS for embedded systems and Windows Phone 7 for smartphones.[50] Microsoft initially entered the mobile market through Windows CE for handheld devices, eventually developing into the Windows Mobile  OS and now, Windows Phone 7. Windows CE is designed for devices where the OS may not directly be visible to the end user, in particular, appliances and cars. The division also produces computer games that run on Windows PCs and other systems including titles such as Age of Empires, Halo and the Microsoft Flight Simulator series as well as a line of reference works that include encyclopedias and atlases, under the name Encarta, and houses the Macintosh Business Unit which produces Mac OS software including Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac. Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices Division designs, markets, and manufactures consumer electronics including the Xbox 360 game console, the handheld Zune media player, and the television-based Internet appliance MSN TV. Microsoft also markets personal computer hardware including mice, keyboards, and various game controllers such as joysticks and gamepad

Environment
Roadside plantation by Microsoft in Bangalore, India.

Greenpeace ranked the electronics portion of Microsoft's business (e.g. game consoles, computer peripherals, etc.) 3rd worst in Microsoft's introduction in November 2007 and 3rd worst in May 2010 out of 18 companies in its "Guide to Greener Electronics", an assessment of chemical-disposal waste-reduction practices.[74] Microsoft's main U.S. campus received a silver certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program in 2008, and it installed over 2,000 solar panels on top of its buildings in its Silicon Valley campus, generating approximately 15 percent of the total energy needed by the facilities in April 2005.[75]

Microsoft makes use of alternative forms of transit. It created one of the worlds largest private bus systems, the "Connector", to transport people from outside the company; for on-campus transportation, the "Shuttle Connect" uses a large fleet of hybrid cars to save fuel. The company also subsidises regional public transport as an incentive.[75][76] In February 2010 however, Microsoft took a stance against adding additional public transport and high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes to a bridge connecting Redmond to Seattle; the company did not want to delay the construction any further

Los Angeles arts and culture

Los Angeles arts and culture
Believe it or not, L.A. has a thriving artists and cultural scene, with dozens of great museums, countless art galleries, all sorts of great music, theater, and, of course, the magnificent Disney Hall in downtown and the world-famous Hollywood Bowl.

The art museums really are fantastic, from the stunning and enormous Getty Museum atop a hillside overlooking West L.A. and the Pacific to the campus of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), with it's 5 museums and frequent traveling exhibits, you can find world-class art in L.A.

And that's really just the tip of the iceberg. From the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Hammer Museum, and the great museums in Exposition Park - the huge Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Science & Industry, you could spend an entire vacation just visiting the museums.

Universal Studios Hollywood
Theme parks and other attractions
Of course no trip to Los Angeles would be complete without visits to Disneyland (about 40 minutes south of downtown) and Universal Studios (about 10 minutes north of downtown).

For thrill seekers, there is Magic Mountain, with its world-class roller coasters and dozens upon dozens of other great rides. Another great option is Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, about a 10 minutes ride from Disneyland, with it's Old Western theme and rides ranging from mild to wild.

For water park lovers, there are some really great options, from Soak City near Knotts to Raging Waters in San Dimas a half hour east of downtown and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor next to Magic Mountain.

Network

Network
A network is any collection of independent computers that communicate with one another over a shared network medium.A computer network is a collection of two or more connected computers. When these computers are joined in a network, people can share files and peripherals such as modems, printers, tape backup drives, or CD-ROM drives. When networks at multiple locations are connected using services available from phone companies, people can send e-mail, share links to the global Internet, or conduct video conferences in real time with other remote users. As companies rely on applications like electronic mail and database management for core business operations, computer networking becomes increasingly more important.
Every network includes:

At least two computers Server or Client workstation.
Networking Interface Card's (NIC)
A connection medium, usually a wire or cable, although wireless communication between networked computers and peripherals is also possible.
Network Operating system software, such as Microsoft Windows NT or 2000, Novell NetWare, Unix and Linux.

Types of Networks:

LANs (Local Area Networks)

A network is any collection of independent computers that communicate with one another over a shared network medium. LANs are networks usually confined to a geographic area, such as a single building or a college campus. LANs can be small, linking as few as three computers, but often link hundreds of computers used by thousands of people. The development of standard networking protocols and media has resulted in worldwide proliferation of LANs throughout business and educational organizations.

WANs (Wide Area Networks)

Wide area networking combines multiple LANs that are geographically separate. This is accomplished by connecting the different LANs using services such as dedicated leased phone lines, dial-up phone lines (both synchronous and asynchronous), satellite links, and data packet carrier services. Wide area networking can be as simple as a modem and remote access server for employees to dial into, or it can be as complex as hundreds of branch offices globally linked using special routing protocols and filters to minimize the expense of sending data sent over vast distances.
